Backstory

Tamari was found by Ishgardian soldiers and brought in as an orphaned child of War. Trained from a young age, she only knew how to fight and suffered the skills necessary to adapt to a world, not on a battlefield.

Unconscious and wounded by a concentrated flow of aether, Tamari was blinded in her left eye, and is also the supposed cause of her lack of memory before being found by, who she would follow with complete willingness, Major Kai. After being treated and unable to recall anything, Maj Kai made her best efforts to protect Tamari, as well as all the other children, sickly, and wounded left behind small villages unable to protect themselves. The Major's unit was specifically tasked in recovery operations of non-combatants and the termination of enemy combatants that were also found but were unable to be saved (The Peace Reapers). After several months of not being able to remember anything, she became frustrated that she was unable to do anything due to her age and eventually asked to be a part of the Reapers, whom would administer the lethal concoction that would painlessly terminate those unable to be saved. Due to her lack of understanding of much outside of her new position, she was nicknamed "Coup Degras" for her calm nature while facing death.

After many years of dealing with small skirmishes in the northern countries and protecting more innocent, wounded, sick, and young from the hells of war, she began to move around the other units and joined field operations of reconnaissance and recovery. With a previous reputation of being with the Reapers and her abilities carrying over to the field of cold and calculated terminations, she was then known to enemy soldiers as "The Reaper's Whore" for her methods and fearful skill. The injury she had sustained to her eye left a permanent discoloration and also showed to have a certain ability later on when she would begin to train in arcane arts. She had noticed that her eye had a slight sense of seeing geometries of aether and became very gifted in the arts quickly being able to visibly see trails of aether allowing her calculated intellect to better understand the arts. With her training taking almost no time, she was becoming a very strong soldier to this special unit that caught the eyes of the grand companies, but she would deny offers as she pledged her loyalty Maj Kai until their ends.

During a large scale invasion of an Ishgardian trade post, many of the elite units were lost, including Maj Kai, who would give her last order to Tamari before perishing.... "Live and love." Because of her vague understanding of anything outside of war, this command confused and frustrated Tamari as she was not sure how to live up to the expectation and simply continued to carry on as a soldier and being commissioned as an officer shortly after for her calm demeanor while taking up a temporary leadership role during the gruesome battle. She would lead for several months later before being approached by another lead officer that was close with Maj Kai, who would protest Tamari to leave the lines and begin to live a normal life as she was stripped away from it and more than deserved to live the rest of her years not under the command of someone. After much fighting this request, she eventually would give into her superior's demand and receive one last promotion before leaving and begin to try adapting to a world she was unfamiliar with...
